KYTHERIQ
FORGE Lab · R&D · In discovery

Test the hard problem before you spend heavily on it.

FORGE is KytherIQ’s research and development practice for technically uncertain problems: feasibility, simulation, prototypes and invention validation, each with a written test plan and a go / no-go decision. FORGE is in discovery and taken on by conversation, not sold off the shelf.

How a FORGE engagement runsStop at any gate
  1. 1
DiagnosticFrame the problem, scan alternatives, write the test plan.
  2. ✓
Go / no-goIs it worth testing? A written answer either way.
  3. 2
Feasibility sprintOne bounded question: simulation, architecture or a first proof.
  4. ✓
Go / no-goDecided on evidence, not optimism.
  5. 3
PrototypeA working artifact against a written definition of done.

Each level is scoped and approved on its own. Nothing rolls into the next level without your written go-ahead.

Three levels

Bounded at every level.

Each level has its own written scope, a definition of done and a stopping point. You never fund the next level by accident.

Level 1
In discovery

Diagnostic

Uncertainty

Problem framing, an alternative and prior-art scan where appropriate, feasibility risks and a bounded test plan.

  • Non-confidential to start
  • Written test plan you can take anywhere
  • Not legal or patent advice
Ask about a diagnostic
Level 2
In discovery

Feasibility Sprint

Uncertainty

Rapid technical validation, architecture, simulation or a first proof before a larger build.

  • Bounded question, bounded time
  • Architecture or simulation output
  • Go / no-go with evidence
Ask about a feasibility sprint
Level 3
In discovery

Prototype / R&D

Uncertainty

A bounded working prototype, built against a written definition of done and billed by milestone.

  • Working artifact, not slides
  • Written definition of done
  • Milestone billing

What FORGE is for

Inventors, small software founders, and operators with an unusual technical question.

  • Is this idea worth money before I spend it?
  • Can this be simulated, modeled or prototyped without the full build?
  • Which of three approaches survives contact with real constraints?
  • What does a bounded first version actually need to do?
FORGE boundary

FORGE can help test a technical idea. It does not provide patentability opinions, legal advice, guaranteed funding, guaranteed licensing income, regulated engineering sign-off or certification. When you need a patent attorney or agent, you hire them directly.

Do not send confidential invention details through a web form or email. Every engagement starts with the high-level problem, non-confidentially.

Bring the hard problem.

Start with a conversation. If the honest answer is “do not build this”, that is what you get.
